Organics is a paper which celebrates the characteristic colours of nature. It is produced with 30% wood-free secondary de-inked pulp, 60% wood-free primary pulp and 10% cotton fibres. Organics’ bleaching process is elemental chlorine free (ECF) and the paper is pH neutral, giving it archival quality. Because Organics is wood free, less land is needed for the cultivation of plantations, so larger areas of natural ecology can be preserved. In this way Organics helps contribute to the sustainable conservation of relationships such as the one between South Africa’s indigenous yellowwood trees and the endangered Cape Parrot which feeds off its fruit. Organics is inkjet and laser guaranteed, suitable for offset printing, embossing, silkscreening, die-cutting, foiling and letterpress. Its applications include annual report covers, corporate stationary, brochures, books, invitations, menus, organic packaging and swing tags.
This project entails a promotional illustrated booklet showcasing the paper by depicting the lifecycle of a Cape Parrot alongside the lifecycle of a Yellowwood Tree.
